James Clooney, who founded and established Total Solutions Advisors, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1981 from the esteemed St. John’s University in New York, gaining crucial skills that would lead to his success in various sectors of the finance industry as an asset manager and financier in the future. James Clooney began his career as a Junior Auditor for the accounting firm of Arthur Young International where he fulfilled an array of duties. His next career move took him to Touche Ross where he worked as a Senior Auditor. James Clooney’s demonstrated excellence in handling himself in these earlier positions led Prudential Securities to hire him as an Account Executive where he oversaw and facilitated the management of approximately $1 million worth of investment funds. Following his employment with Prudential Securities, Clooney began work with Lehman Brothers in 1984 as an Assistant Vice President and then an Assistant Vice President of Brokerage. In these positions he assumed newfound responsibilities including supervising the management of $2 million worth of assets. James Clooney’s dedicated service to Lehman Brothers was awarded with his recognition as one of his company’s foremost salespeople in 1986. Subsequently, after a period at Lehman Brothers, James Clooney joined the firm of UBS, where he was responsible for $7.5 million in equity funds. He later worked for Salomon Smith Barney. As Vice President of SSB, Clooney demonstrated his financial skills overseeing the management of approximately $10 million in financial assets. After positions with Biltmore Mortgage and CVO/JEC Consulting Corporation, James Clooney founded Total Solutions Advisors, where he is the current principal for the real estate and consumer finance marketing firm.
